Terms of Service

Das Dot Zombie · Last updated: 1 October 2026

These terms cover your use of Das Dot Zombie ("the game", "we", "us"). By installing or playing the game, you agree to them. If you are under the age where you can agree to terms like these in your country, a parent or guardian should read this with you.

See also our Privacy Policy, which covers what information the game handles.

The game

We may add, change, or remove features — including adding purchases in a future update — at any time. If that happens, this page and the Privacy Policy will be updated first, and the change will be noted in the store listing's release notes.

License to use the game

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and play Das Dot Zombie on devices you own or control, for your own entertainment. You may not resell, sublicense, reverse-engineer for commercial purposes, or redistribute the app or its assets (characters, art, sounds, code) as your own work.

The public leaderboard

Submitting a score is optional. If you choose a nickname and submit a score, it becomes visible to anyone who opens the High Scores screen. By submitting, you agree to the following:

Enforcement. The game still has no accounts and no logins, and we never learn who you are. To keep the leaderboard usable it does give each installation a random anonymous ID, described in our Privacy Policy. Scores are linked to that ID, which lets us act on the person responsible instead of everyone at once. We may, without notice:

Blocking affects score submission only. The game itself always remains fully playable — nobody is ever locked out of playing. Clearing the app's data or reinstalling creates a new ID, so this is a deterrent rather than a permanent bar; we accept that trade in exchange for never collecting anything that could identify a child.

Think a score or nickname slipped through the filter? Email us — see Contact below — and we'll remove it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Scores or nicknames submitted in bad faith, including through the methods above, may be removed at our discretion.

No warranty

The game is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device. Local save data (crystals, unlocked characters, best score) lives only on your device — if you clear the app's data or uninstall, it cannot be recovered, and we are not responsible for that loss.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the game. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under consumer protection law that cannot lawfully be limited.

Children

This game is designed to be suitable for children, and is built to collect as little information as possible — see the Privacy Policy for specifics. Parents: the only thing a child can type into the game is an optional, public leaderboard nickname. We encourage you to help them pick one that doesn't reveal who they are.

Changes to these terms

If we make a material change to these terms, we will update the date at the top and note the change in the store listing's release notes. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer protection law in your country gives you rights these terms cannot override.
